Rules & Legislation

The 2003 rules statement sets out the statutory framework under which the Adjudicator to HM Lands Registry operates.

Note
The Adjudicator to Her Majesty’s Land Registry (Practice and Procedure) (Amendment) Rules 2008 (SI 2008/1731) ("the 2008 Rules"), which amend the Adjudicator’s procedural rules, came into force on 25 July 2008. Where the Adjudicator receives a reference from the Land Registry or a rectification application on or after 25 July but before 25 August 2008, he may direct that the amended rules shall not apply to those proceedings (rule 3 of the 2008 Rules). He will specify at the start of such proceedings whether the amended rules or the unamended rules will apply.

There is no official version of the Adjudicator to H M Land Registry (Practice and Procedure) Rules 2003 Rules incorporating the amendments made by the Adjudicator to H M Land Registry (Practice and Procedure) (Amendment) Rules 2008.
